We are seeking an experienced Engineering Repair Technician responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling and testing a variety of manufactured electronics products and materials.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, evaluate, troubleshoot to component level, quote, repair, reassemble and test all units.
- Perform testing with procedures and documentation by developing equipment setups for undocumented requirements.
- Assembles and tests experimental motor-control devices and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles.
- Test/troubleshoot to component level and board level.
- Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction of equipment and perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Plans, directs and records periodic electrical testing, and recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
- Examine parts for conformance with dimensional specifications.
- Monitor controls and instruments.
- Coordinate and participate in installing units or systems to be tested in test fixtures, mechanical or electrical controls, cabling, power source and indicating instruments.
- Activates controls to apply electrical or mechanical power and subject test items to successive steps in the test cycle.
- Recommend changes to ATPs as necessary.
- Confer with engineering personnel to resolve fabrication problems relating to specifications and review test plans such as types and cycles of tests.
- Review and Respond to corrective actions.
- Provides input to assist in resolving customer problems and complaints.
Job Qualifications
- Associates degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years previous engineering experience in an Aerospace environment.
- Utilizes standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and frequency generators.
- Familiarity with MRP systems.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident per ITAR regulations.
