TEST ENGINEER

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer responsible for verifying and validating electro-mechanical design performance. This candidate will play a critical role in ensuring successful hardware and software processing/integration to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead integration, test planning and execution (including functional validation) on products.
  • Establish reliability of products, maintainability, and durability test standards.
  • Develop test plans and procedures.
  • Build and test prototypes.
  • Perform debugging procedures.
  • Conduct compatibility evaluations.
  • Write test plans, procedures and test reports.
  • Analyze test data; identifying, isolating and resolving performance problems.
  • Provide sustaining support by offering technical support; troubleshooting and resolving problems related to electro-mechanical design.
  • Identify test equipment and network needs.
  • May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment and process.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Assist with risk reduction activities and issue resolution.
  • May assist in the corrective/preventative action process.

Job Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years of test engineering experience, preferably in an Aerospace or Defense environment
  • Expertise in thermal environment and electrical engineering (voltage, current, resistance) understanding
  • Expertise in electrical integration and test product development, including the ability to generate and/or modify test plans and procedures (ATPs)
  • Ability to apply electrical engineering principles and reviewing electrical schematics to define electrical integration test design, test plan, and procedures for system-level test activities
  • Ability to perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system-level evaluations
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot problems and find possible root causes related to test equipment, unit under test, and test procedures
  • Ability to provide accurate and concise status reports and findings
  • Ability to troubleshoot down to the component level
  • Ability to write Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs)
  • Hands-on problem-solving skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to distinguish colors
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident per ITAR regulations
  • Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
