The AVEOX Journey
AVEOX was founded in 1992 by David Palombo, a power technologist with a passion for innovation. Recognized for his expertise in electric motor design, David was invited to participate in a study exploring the feasibility of lightweight, energy-efficient electric propulsion systems for unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) powered by solar energy. Despite the formidable challenges, which many deemed insurmountable, David’s vision and determination prevailed.
David’s pioneering work in propulsion systems for unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) led to the rapid development of drones capable of operating in hazardous environments for extended durations.
Today, AVEOX is a trusted world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced power-dense DC electric motors, controllers and power conversion systems. Single Shot Mine Disposal System
A critical tool in navel reconnaissance, this system assists in the neutralization of underwater mines in some of the worlds most dangerous underwater environments. AVEOX designs and manufactures advanced brushless direct current (BLDC) propulsion motors and controllers that power these torpedo-like vehicles that seek out and destroy underwater threats 4X faster than conventional remotely-controlled mine disposal vehicles.
Advanced Optical and Gimbal Targeting Systems
AVEOX designs and manufactures high-performance motors and controllers for optical and gimbal targeting systems. Our proprietary technology delivers ultra-precise targeting images with minimal torque ripple, while advanced digital correction eliminates distortions due to low-light or camera angle – critical for sensors mounted on moving vehicles.
Laser Weapon Cooling
High energy laser weapons are at the forefront of modern defense. However, these advanced systems generate massive amounts of heat during operation, requiring sophisticated thermal management solutions. AVEOX plays a pivotal role, designing and manufacturing motors and controllers that power heat exchangers, pumps and cooling fans that work together to effectively dissipate heat in these demanding platforms.
Static Line Retrieval Winch
AVEOX makes the motor and controller for automatic retrieval of the static line attached to an aircraft to assist with parachute jumps. Used to deploy the parachute when the parachutist exits the plane, after the jump, the line pulls back to be ready for the next jumper. This device also provides critical safety, minimizing the risk of a parachutist getting tangled in the line and allowing quick retrieval of the parachutist should an entanglement occur.
